Orthodontic (braces) Treatment: Orthodontic treatment involves straightening the teeth to correct a variety of cosmetic and/or functional problems. It uses gentle and constant pressure on the teeth so that they shift in to the position desired. This pressure is exerted by specially designed appliances which can be fit over the teeth. Invisible braces involve doing the treatment from inside of the teeth so nothing is seen outside.
Types of Braces
Beggs Appliance: (Australian Technique)Treatment using round wires. We can even use steel bands on front teeth (ideal for boxers & people playing contact sports).

Pre-adjusted Straight Wire Appliance (American Technique)Treatment using Pre-adjusted brackets. We prefer the O22 MBT prescription.

Low-Friction ApplianceThis is a new way of treatment using a Low-friction bracket system & thermally active Arch-wires. This combination of Low-friction bracket & heat activated wires are gentle to the teeth & tissue. Treatment proceeds swiftly & painlessly.

Ceramic BracesA combination of white transparent braces & white arch wires makes the appliance almost invisible. Ideal for Adults!

Functional ApplianceSome-times the problem lies with the skeletal system (bones) rather than the teeth. We can modify the growth & thus give pleasing profiles. This can be done only in growing children.

Habit Breaker Habits like finger & thumb sucking, lip biting, mouth-breathing etc can lead to bad teeth. By giving habit breakers for a few months it is possible to break the habit easily.

Duration of Treatment The duration of treatment varies from 1 to 2 years depending on the severity of the problem and type of braces used. The patient needs to visit the clinic periodically during this time to monitor treatment. The interval between visits is longer if low friction braces with thermal wires are used.

Care During Treatment

Dental Implants A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that an implant specialist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework, since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support.
What Dental Implants Can Do?

  • Replace one or more teeth without affecting bordering teeth.
  • Support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture.
  • Provide support for a denture, making it more secure and comfortable

A crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function. Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space. .

Porcelain Veneers Dental veneers are wafer thin or custom made shells of ceramic used for changing color, shape, size or length of teeth to improve overall aesthetic of your smile.

Teeth Whitening Looking for sparkling white teeth? We transform dull yellowish teeth into brilliant white in less than 45 mins. Teeth whitening is the most popular procedure in cosmetic dentistry. It is quick, safe & effective.

Bonding Bonding is a dental procedure in which composite resin is used to sculpt decayed / chipped, fractured or discolored teeth. This procedure can be done in single visit unlike dental veneers. It can be also used to close spaces between teeth, to change shape or color of teeth and it blends to surrounding natural tooth’s colors.

Removable Dentures (Full and Partial) A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Dental Surgeries Dental Surgeries includes following dental treatment:
Cosmetic Dental Surgery: Cosmetic dental surgery is dental surgery to enhance the appearance of your smile. Cosmetic dental surgery may include procedures such as dental implants or veneers. Your cosmetic dentist also uses this type of dental surgery to place a tooth-colored dental crown or tooth filling. Crown lengthening to repair a "gummy smile" is also considered cosmetic dental surgery.

Removal of Impacted Teeth: When teeth grow in sideways, emerge only part way from the gum or remain trapped below the gum line, it can cause a lot of pain and dental problems. Dental surgery may be recommended to remove one or more impacted teeth. Wisdom teeth are the most common teeth to become impacted, but other teeth can become impacted, too.

Corrective Jaw Surgery: Dental oral surgery can treat TMJ or TMD disorders, improve the fit of dentures and correct problems with the way the upper and lower jaws fit together.

Treatment of Facial Injuries & Correction of Deformities: Dental surgery can treat and repair damage caused by trauma to the face, mouth, teeth and jaws. Deformities such as cleft lip and palate can be corrected with dental surgery.

Root Canal Treatment (RTC) Root canal treatment is the removal of the infected soft tissue within the tooth and its replacement by an artificial inert ‘filling’ material. This procedure basically saves the tooth and eliminates dental pain. You many need root canal for any of these reasons:

  • Persistent toothache
  • Decay of teeth or cavities which are deep
  • Tooth becoming darker after an injury or trauma
  • Swelling of gum near the tooth
  • Tender gums or teeth

Fiber Splinting of Mobile / Shaky Teeth: Splinting teeth with composite materials is a process whereby the teeth that are loose or weakened are joined together to increase their strength. This unique system offers a technology of resin impregnation and three choices of fiber strips. The different treated fiber configurations provide flexibility, in addition to substantial strength and ease of placement.

Ultrasonic Scaling Ultrasonic scaling removes calculus and reduces the number of harmful bacteria below the gum line. It is an important tool in the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease. It consists of a wand with a small scaling tip that produces a soft ultrasonic vibration. The small, quick vibrations in combination with a water flow give us a whole new level of effectiveness in calculus removal. The benefits of ultrasonic scaling include:

  • Increased efficiency of calculus removal
  • Less need for hand scaling of stubborn deposits
  • More comfortable access to the root surfaces
